Title : Test and Trials Manager
Location : Houma, LA
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Test and Trials Manager to coordinate, supervise, document, and sequence testing for all vessel equipment and systems, including sea trials, to ensure compliance with customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in sea trials, or marine vessel system operations.
Requirements
- Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Considerable experience in sea trials, or marine vessel system operations.
- Shipbuilding and previous supervisory experience are preferred.
- Skills :
- Strong knowledge of shipbuilding processes, industry standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in testing equipment and measuring devices, with the ability to train inspectors on proper usage.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications and develop effective inspection programs.
- Competence in documenting and sequencing testing processes.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong supervisory skills and the ability to interface effectively with customers, management, and employees.
