Salary: $16.00/hr commensurate with experience 223-day work calendar for 24-25 school year.

 

Job Function:

 Under the guidance and supervision of the Principal, the Receptionist is responsible for providing general clerical support to campus administrators and for directing requests for information to the appropriate party.

 

Duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned


by the Principal or Vice Principal.
• Greets visitors in a professional manner.
• Maintains visitor sign-in logs and issues visitor passes in accordance with campus security procedures.
• Maintains student sign-in/sign-out logs in accordance with campus procedures.
• Responds to inquires of faculty, staff, the public, parents and/or students for the purpose of resolving inquiry or forwarding to the appropriate party according to published campus/district policies and procedures.
• Performs record keeping and both general and project specific clerical functions (copying, faxing, typing, translating correspondence, etc.).
• Processes documents and materials such as flyers, announcements, tardy slips for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties.
• Receives deliveries, mail, supplies, messages, etc. and disseminates materials to appropriate parties.
• Makes school wide announcements to notify faculty/staff and students of the need to address immediate safety or security issues.
• Contacts parents via individual phone calls and the use of the “One Call” system to disseminate student specific information as well as to inform parents about school wide events as directed by campus administrators.
• Maintains student lists, tracking forms, and informational reports as required by campus administration.
• Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills.
• On-site regular attendance.
• Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Maintains appropriate level of confidentiality of student information.
• Understands and complies with all district policies, procedures, and expectations as articulated in the Faculty handbook or as communicated by administration.
• Performs any and all other duties as assigned by the Vice Principal, Principal, and Chief Academic Officer.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of constituents or employees of organization.
• Ability and/or willingness to learn to use and understand Microsoft Office for spreadsheets, letters and other written communication in order to effectively communicate information with employees, administration and the Board.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to grasp, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.

 

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
