Job Description:
As an Optician at Bolt Eye you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring our patients receive the best eyewear solutions to meet their needs. You will work closely with optometrists and the rest of our eye care team to provide comprehensive eye care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients in selecting the right eyewear based on their prescription, lifestyle, and personal preferences.
- Measure patients’ eyes and faces to ensure proper fit of glasses.
- Provide information and advice on different lens types, frame styles, coatings, and other eyewear options.
- Adjust and repair eyewear to ensure optimal fit and comfort.
- Perform lens edging and fitting as required.
- Manage inventory of eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other optical products.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest eyewear trends, products, and optical technology.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as an optician is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in an optician role or a related field is preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills.
