Job Summary:
The Sr. Manager-Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is a leadership role responsible for the timely and accurate reporting and analysis of all financial results and forecasts.
This position reports directly to the Director of Finance and liaises with all levels of management and personnel within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the monthly reporting package of the company's financial performance versus budget and forecast, including updating quarterly and annual budget assumptions.
- Perform analysis of actual results versus plan and forecast; prepare variance reporting.
- Manage quarterly inventory counts with manufacturing teams.
- Oversee the quarterly and annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support decision-making across the organization.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial plans with strategic objectives.
- Provide on-site analysis/tracking of commercial inventory transactions, approvals, changes in estimates, and forecasted costs versus actual expenditures.
- Analyze and report current capital expenditures, including variance analyses versus plan and forecast.
- Ensure compliance with accounting controls.
- Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in medical device manufacturing.
- Expert financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office products, primarily in Excel.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks and Fishbowl inventory management software a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and management reporting.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and results-driven mindset.
Desired Skills:
- Prior experience in clinical or commercial stage medical device startup companies a plus.
- Prior experience in catheter manufacturing a plus.
