Job Summary

The Senior Manufacturing Technician will support Engineering development and validation activities in addition to production support. This role will be a key contributor on Bolt's Engineering team, developing a therapeutic medical device.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and ask critical questions without being the subject matter expert.
• Interact with Engineering to ensure that processes and designs are manufacturable.
• Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, and material handling.
• Develop fixture designs, including mechanical design, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
• Organize equipment and spare part inventory.
• Maintain equipment documentation, including manuals.
• Author IQ protocols and reports.
• Participate in process improvement projects to enhance product quality, reduce rework/scrap, decrease costs, and improve product performance.
• Identify and troubleshoot process-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Provide hands-on process understanding and offer guidance and training to operators.
• Support daily production to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Assist in scaling up equipment and processes from prototypes to pilot to full-scale manufacturing.

Requirements

• Must have 3 years of experience operating EDM or CNC mill/lathe.
• Familiarity with fixture and tooling design to assist with manufacturing needs and process improvements.
• Manufacturing or sustaining experience is required.
• Medical device experience is highly desirable.
