Job Description:
This role is responsible for leading the shipping and receiving team by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and leading continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Develop and implement improvement programs to streamline and optimize the shipping and receiving functions.
- Manage department procedures to ensure they are current and compliant with department requirements.
- Verify information against pick/packing lists, bills of lading, orders, or other records.
- Ensure compliance with quality system procedures, GMP's, and regulatory requirements.
- Pack and unpack orders while maintaining department schedule.
- Maintain organized shipping and receiving records and train staff.
- Monitor workloads within the designated area and present monthly department results.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum 4 years' experience in a Shipping/Receiving environment or equivalent work experience.
- Current DOT / IATA training certification and Hazardous Materials training certification.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to learn new software, and experience with procedure writing.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Familiarity with FDA/GMP environments and associated compliance regulations.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license required.
