Shipping and Receiving Supervisor

Job Overview

Bolt Medical is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Shipping and Receiving Lead. This position plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping and receiving functions.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and organizational skills, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced shipping and receiving environment.

• Coordinate the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality management systems, and company policies.
• Manage the department's procedures to ensure they are up-to-date and compliant with department requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against pick/packing lists, bills of lading, orders, or other records.
• Prepare items for shipment by approved carrier UPS, DHL, FedEx. Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Ensure products are picked, properly packed, and shipped per the SOP.
• Manage the timely receipt of all products, materials, supplies, and equipment. Pack and unpack orders while maintaining department schedule.

Requirements

Education: High school or equivalent with minimum 4 years' experience in a Shipping/Receiving environment or equivalent work experience.

Required Experience:

• Current DOT/IATA training certification
• Current Hazardous Materials training certification
• Ability to invest time, as required, expediting or completing assignments which may necessitate working evening and/or weekend hours as necessary to meet business demands
• High level computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to learn new software, such as enterprise business software
