Position Title: Junior Benefits Analyst
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000

Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Benefits Analyst with 1-3 years of experience to join our team of health benefits professionals and consultants. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with exposure to financial reporting, as well as experience in an account management role. You will be responsible for analyzing and comparing employee benefits programs, supporting financial deliverables, and providing support for benefits administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive health and welfare benefit comparisons and analyses to evaluate various employee benefit proposals and to support strategic planning.
- Assist in the collection and management of data from benefit carriers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of renewal exhibits, ensuring all information is accurate.
- Create and format presentations for internal and external stakeholders, summarizing benefits data and analysis.
- Support the preparation of financial reports related to benefits, analyzing data trends and providing insights.
- Prepare side-by-side comparisons for Request for Proposals (RFPs) to assist in evaluating vendor offerings.
- Supporting consultants in ensuring health plan compliance.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to benefits administration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Math, or a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in health benefits consulting, carrier underwriting, benefits administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience in financial reporting and analysis.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
