Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Project Manager to oversee and manage electrical projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering and project management, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with industry standards. Preferred experience with school and hospital projects within the Baltimore/Washington Marketplace. This role requires effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and implementation of electrical projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, and milestones.
- Conduct construction estimating to determine project costs and resource requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate execution of electrical installations.
- Manage on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Utilize company software for project documentation and reporting.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to coordinate project activities.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
- Maintain effective communication with clients regarding project status, changes, and any potential issues.
Experience
- Proven experience in project management within the electrical construction industry.
- Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in project scheduling techniques and tools.
- Experience with construction estimating processes.
- Familiarity with construction sites and the ability to manage on-site operations effectively.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for successful project execution.
- Previous experience using Accubid, Bluebeam and project management software is preferred.
