Bomberger's Store - Immediate Seasonal Photography Assistant Needed

Bomberger’s Store, a beloved family-owned home improvement retailer in Lititz, is seeking a talented Photography Assistant to join our team. As a Photography Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our skilled photographers, capturing images of our wide range of products. This role offers a fun and and upbeat work environment where you can enhance your photography skills while assisting in creating visual content for our marketing efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Use photographic equipment to capture product photos, understanding and adhering to photography guidelines and standards.
• Use digital editing software to create accurate and appealing product photos.
• Ensures product listings meet established brand and style guideline
• Where necessary, source appropriate photographic content from manufacturers
• Work with Digital Content Curator to meet schedule for listing maintenance and ongoing production of listing content.
• Work with Digital Content Curator to increase productivity through maximizing studio, tools and process.
• Maintain equipment and studio to keep a tidy and functional workspace.

Additional Responsibilities:

• As necessary work with Marketing Department to capture photographs for use in other Bomberger’s marketing needs.
• As necessary assist Ecommerce Supervisor by creating and/or editing copy for product listings.

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of photography techniques
• Strong attention to detail and creativity
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Requirements:

• 30-40 hours weekly until the end of May. Possible opportunity to go longer or convert to permanent depending on growth.
• Ability to efficiently produce quality photos in a timely manner
• Thorough knowledge and experience of concepts like composition, lighting, and balance
• Proficiency with photo editing software
• Proficient in Lightroom and/or Capture One
• Experience with Photoshop is preferred but not required
• Must be able to provide a portfolio, either by website or Instagram
• Experience with product photography is preferred but not required
• High school diploma or G.E.D. and 1 year of related experience.
