Bomberger's Store - Immediate Part Time (20-28 hours weekly) Receiving Clerk Needed

Bomberger’s Store, a beloved family-owned home improvement retailer in Lititz, is looking for a Receiving Clerk to join their team. As a Receiving Clerk at Bomberger's, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of inventory and supplies, contributing to the overall success of the store. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast paced environment, where you will learn valuable skills.

Summary:

This position provides support and assistance to our Sales and Service teams by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receiving Shipments: Unload and inspect incoming deliveries, ensuring products are correct, undamaged and counted.
• Documentation: Accurately record all received goods and update inventory systems, ensuring proper logging of quantities and condition.
• Stocking: Assist in the stocking and organizing of products on shelves or in storage areas.
• Inventory Control: Help maintain inventory accuracy by ensuring products are properly stored and inventoried, conducting periodic counts as needed.
• Quality Assurance: Check products for defects, expiration dates, or damages and notify the appropriate team members of any discrepancies or issues.
• Product Movement: Safely move products around the warehouse, including lifting, organizing, and storing heavy or bulky items.
• Cleaning & Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that aisles, storage areas, and shelves are tidy and free of hazards.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while handling products and operating warehouse equipment.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other receiving, stocking, and warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations and product flow.
• Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as required, such as assisting with returns or special stocking projects.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required.

• Ability to learn to operate a pallet jack.
• Basic understanding of inventory management or willingness to learn.
• Ability to work flexible part-time hours, including evenings
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or retail stocking environment is preferred but not required.
