Bomgaars is seeking friendly, outgoing individuals with Cashier experience to work evening and weekend shifts (maximum 24 hours per week). The position offers an opportunity to provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
- Cashier experience preferred
- Product knowledge
- Ability to multi-task
- Detail oriented
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for long periods
- Committed to excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Must be able to work varying evenings - Monday through Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and rotating weekends, varying 8 hour shifts (shift premium paid for working weekends)
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome customers
- Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately (cash, correct change, credit/debit cards, checks)
- Scan, bag items, and issue receipts for customers
- Process customer returns and exchanges according to store policy
- Maintain clean, organized checkout area
- Promote store loyalty programs/special promotions/coupon redemption
- Handling phone calls
