What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Sales Associate (Greenhouse) position at Bomgaars?
Bomgaars is seeking motivated, customer service oriented individuals to work peak gardening season in the Greenhouse and Lawn & Garden department. Position requires flexibility in shifts for watering sessions - days, evenings, weekends.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Agriculture background
- Product knowledge - plants, shrubs, vegetables
- Willing to work outside for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Committed to excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Must be available to work flexible schedules - days, evenings, weekends (shift premium paid for working weekends)
Responsibilities:
- Freight handling/Merchandising/Signage with plant information
- Maintain the nursery area (varying weather conditions)
- Basic gardening tasks (watering, weeding, fertilizing, and repotting as needed)
- Stocking with new plants/rotating inventory/checking for damaged or unhealthy plants
- Assisting customers with product selection and load outs
- Handling phone calls
