What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sporting Goods Department Lead position at Bomgaars?
Bomgaars is seeking a motivated, responsible individual to fill a Department Lead position. The individual with oversee the operations of the Sporting Goods department, to include Firearms, and the Power Equipment department. Prefer the individual has supervisory experience and product knowledge.
Qualifications:
· Must be 21 years or older and subject to pre-employment screening and applicable background check
· ATF compliance and sales of new firearms general knowledge/experience.
*Product knowledge - Sporting goods, Power Equipment (mowers, tillers, snowblowers)
· Administrative skills to handle paperwork, pricing, and record keeping
· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for long periods of time
* Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
· Committed to excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
· Must be available to work flexible schedules – days, evenings, and rotating weekends (shift premium paid for working weekends)
Responsibilities:
· Freight handling/forklift operation/merchandising the sales floor
· Sales/Cashier/Recovery
· Ensure departments are clean, organized, and well stocked
· Assisting customers with product selection and load outs
· Handling phone calls
· Other tasks as assigned
