POSITION SUMMARY: This position is a full-time role within the accounting department responsible for entering invoices into our accounting system, cross-referencing against purchase orders, and coding invoice items appropriately. Organization, reliability, and a willingness to learn are the primary attributes required of this position. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a quick paced environment and will be able to work closely with a variety of different people and positions.
For this position, Bommarito Construction provides competitive salary compensation, based on experience, health insurance, and the opportunity to participate in its 401k program, which includes an annual match schedule for vested individuals. This position is also eligible for performance-based bonuses. Based on performance, there is opportunity to grow within the accounting department and take on new tasks and initiatives.
This is an in-office position, work from home is not available.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Monitor the invoice email accounts for Bommarito Construction, and its sister company American Fire. Importing new invoices daily into our system, using TimberScan software.
- Cross referencing invoices, in our TimberScan platform, and purchase orders, from our individual job folders, to ensure accuracy of pricing. Upon confirming accuracy, coding invoices to the correct job and under the appropriate cost codes. If there is an inconsistency in pricing, following up with vendors to correct/clarify any errors/issues.
- Setting up new vendors within our accounting software, Sage 300, including collecting and capturing certificates of insurance and W-9 information.
- Coding vendor lien waivers in both the TimberScan and Sage 300 platforms.
- Reviewing monthly vendor statements to ensure completeness of records for both Bommarito Construction and American Fire.
- Attend industry and professional meetings, events, seminars, and training courses within the scope of employment.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Training:
- Familiarity with the TimberScan and Sage 300 software systems is preferred, but not required.
Experience:
- Experience in office work, construction, and/or business in general is preferred, but not required.
- Training will be provided for this role so experience does not need to be in the construction industry exclusively – this position will be trained by the individuals currently performing the tasks of this role for a seamless transition.
Skills and abilities which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position:
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend business correspondence, mostly via e-mail.
- Ability to handle stressful situations, remaining calm and collected.
- Ability to multitask – to be able to focus on multiple projects, or project components, at once.
- Ability to use a computer and computer programs at a relatively advanced level. All standard software programs utilized, such as Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
START DATE AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Please note, this position is of immediate need – and we are very motivated to place an individual who is ready to jump in and get started! We can accommodate a variety of start dates, but ideally would like to have this employee in place by April 15, 2025.
Bommarito Construction will provide all required training needed to successfully accomplish the work requirements of this position. And again, this is an in-office position, so work from home will not be available.
