The Assistant Cafe Manager is responsible for operatio.nal excellence and the cafe experience for the food program. This person motivates, trains, develops and directs team members to deliver exceptional service and accomplish daily goals and projects. This position oversees the daily administrative and operational tasks, sanitation and safety. This position will leverage their strong hospitality and operational skills to partner with key stakeholders to promote work standards, food expectations and enhance the user (partner) experience.

• Oversee and contribute to the successful of Cafés and own the overall experience, not just the offerings
• Drive a culture of hospitality that is friendly and engaging
• Upskill, train and develop your team
• Support the monitoring and managing of financial & budget responsibilities whilst making sure our standards are always the best
• You'll create a culture of Food and Workplace Safety & ensure that all operations meet the highest standards
• Oversee and engage in hiring, training and development of new Team Members
• Treat everyone with professionalism, care and respect, drives Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

What we look for in the perfect candidate:

• We'd love a bachelor's degree but if not equivalent professional experience
• You'll have a minimum of 1-3 years food service management experience
• Excellent communication skills - written & verbal
• You'll have a proven track record of leadership with great hospitality knowledge
• Union experience a plus
