Admissions Officer
Summary Of Primary Function/General Purpose Of Position
The Admissions Officers are responsible for all aspects of the recruitment process for new students for Mercy College. This includes meeting with prospective students and their families to explain the application process, attending College and Transfer fairs, representing Mercy College at all other recruitment events. In addition, the Admissions Officers are assigned specific areas of responsibility within the Office that relates to recruitment of students. Position requires a bachelor’s degree with a master’s degree preferred. Experience in Higher Education and Admissions is highly preferred.
Essential Job Functions
Meet with prospective students and their families explaining and detailing the requirements for degree programs offered at Mercy College of Ohio.
Develop and implement recruitment events for Mercy College, i.e. Open House, Information Sessions, and other events as assigned.
Attend and represent Mercy College of Ohio at College Fairs, High School Visits, Transfer fairs and other recruitment events
Understand and be able to articulate program degree requirements and transfer credit to prospective students.
Responsible for the prospect management for assigned programs.
Must be willing to do some travel to recruit students and work flexible hours.
Must remain current in trends within higher education, especially pertaining to enrollment management
Be positive and enthusiastic about employment and Admissions Officer role and demonstrate this to prospective students
Other duties as assigned
