Summary of Primary Function:
Serve as an EMS educator for Toledo Fire Continuing Education and Mercy Health EMS Division, utilizing cutting edge simulation equipment. Develop Curriculum for the TFRD Continuing Education with the approval of TFRD Medical Director.
Essential Job Functions
Focus on TFRD Continuing Education
Operate, clean, and maintain all simulation equipment and supplies
Develop educational material and clinical scenarios as required
Schedule, coordinate, and travel to all EMSD training events
Conduct training at hospitals and on-site at EMS agencies
Complete EVOC course and maintain NREMT, BLS/CPR and EMS instructor certifications
Complete simulator-specific training – may require travel for off-site courses
Work with V’s simulation center and various EMS educators
