Job Summary:
Performs in the Operating Room under the direct supervision of the RN circulator and the charge nurse, completing assigned tasks in a competent, complete, and timely manner with concern for patients' well being and the Perioperative area schedule.
Job Functions:
Communicates effectively and compassionately with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers.
Always addresses and offers assistance to patients, families and visitors.
Utilizes resources and equipment in an efficient, appropriate and safe manner to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
Demonstrates respect/regard for dignity of patients, families, visitors and associates to ensure professional, responsible and courteous environment.
Accepts direction from licensed personnel and reassignment to ensure surgical unit functions effectively.
Ability to efficiently organize and prioritize workflow for timely completion.
Flexibility to adapt to interruptions in workflow and continuous change.
Education:
High school graduate or GED
