Assists in the provision of care to patients of all age groups.Essential Job FunctionsConducts educational programs, education, and services for lactation counseling and support to the community and patients / families.Responds timely to inquiries for requested program, education, and services for the community.Assists in creation of resource materials to be used for programs, education, and services for lactation counseling and support to the community and patients / families.Employment QualificationsRequired Minimum Education : 2 Year / Associates DegreeSpecialty / Major : NursingPreferred Education : 4 year / Bachelors DegreeSpecialty / Major : NursingLicensure / Certification Required : Must possess current licensure as a Registered Nurse.Must possess IBCLC Certificate. ILBC certification required.Minimum QualificationsMinimum Years and Type of Experience : Three to five years nursing experience, specifically in obstetrics and / or infant development required.Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required : Work requires excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, to communicate effectively with mothers and a variety of professional personnel.Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred : Experience with NICU patients preferred.
