They communicate information to nursing and clinicians in an effective and efficient manner utilizing hospital policy. The Monitor Tech is critical to contributing to patient safety and safe patient outcomes.Licensing / CertificationNoneEducationHigh School / GED (required)Work ExperiencePrior EKG or telemetry experience (preferred)TrainingSuccessful completion of EKG / arrythmia exam (required by end of orientation)EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)Essential Job Functions

• Provides continuous cardiac monitor observation.
• Informs nurses of essential information regarding equipment, changes in cardiac rhythm, and patient updates.
• Compiles patient data and report on a shift by shift basis.
