Mercy Health Cincinnati Market is excited to offer selected nursing students the opportunity to gain clinical competence and ease the transition from student to professional through a special summer program.
During the Nurse Externship Program, students are assigned to preceptors who are experienced Registered Nurses chosen for their excellence in practice. Externs participate in a number of clinical experiences and attend special seminars designed to enhance their practice. Externs are assigned to areas that match their personal interests and will complete clinical rotations.
The Mercy Health Summer Nurse Externship Program is a twelve-week, summer program from June 1, 2025 to August 22, 2025.

Job Requirements for the Summer Nurse Extern Program are as follows:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program and have completed one class and one clinical rotation to qualify.
- Commit to the entire summer program.
