Essential Job Functions Essential Functions
Drives the BS CCT vehicle as needed and to respond to and from transport requests in a safe and appropriate manner
Responsible for daily maintenance of the Bon Secours Critical Care ambulance. Assists with daily checks of equipment and supplies as defined by departmental policy and procedures. Responsible for knowing contents and location of equipment and supplies in the ambulance and in BS CCT medical equipment
Provides and promotes excellent customer service for both internal and external customers. Holds self and others accountable for behaviors that promote service excellence.
Participates in pre and post transport debriefings in conjunction with other team members involved in the transport
Demonstrates knowledge of the neonatal transport isolette, including but not limited to cleaning, operation and safe loading and unloading into and out of the ambulance.
Documentation of daily vehicle and equipment checks and concerns.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served while on an interfacility transport. Demonstrates expertise in age appropriate care
Assists in patient care at the EMT level as needed. Maintains competency required to carry out CCTEMT roles and responsibilities to include initial and ongoing education requirements per policy
Employment Qualifications
1. Required Minimum Education: Vocational/ Technical Degree in Emergency Medical Technician
2. Emergency Medical Technician - BLS, EVOC required
3. BLS, EVOC instructor certifications preferred
4. 1 year Emergency Medical Technician of experience
5. Excellent driving record
6. Critical Care Transport Experience preferred
