The primary function of this role is to perform imaging procedures using various modalities, producing high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
This position requires the ability to work with multiple imaging modalities, operate equipment, and possess knowledge of related workflows, procedures, and processes.
The selected candidate will be responsible for selecting appropriate imaging sequences, considering approved protocols and data acquisition parameters.
Patient safety is paramount, and you will apply safety principles to minimize risks to patients, yourself, and others.
You will also verify patient identification, obtain clinical history, and document information for use by licensed practitioners.
In addition, you may be required to perform venipuncture, administer medications or contrast agents, and use power injectors as needed.
This role requires certification and registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist).
Able to perform any 2 combination of procedures with related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, and at the request of, a licensed independent practitioner.
