Retail Team Member

Bona Fide is an eco refill shop specializing in sustainable goods. We are here to make sustainable options accessible to all and help change the course for future generations.

We are looking for someone to join our team that is kind, honest and genuinely wants to make a difference. We are a small retail shop with an important mission and a lot of passion. If you enjoy helping others, learning and want to be part of our success we would love to have you.

We can train the right person but it is helpful if you have some customer facing experience along with an interest/experience in content making for our social media accounts.

The hours for this job will be: Thursday & Friday 10-6 with availability on Saturdays as well when needed.

Responsibilities:

Opening the Store

• Perform cash procedures
• Perform opening duties
• Check stock of items and refill as needed
• Check for online orders

Running the Store

• Engage with every customer
• Educate
• Help them navigate the store
• Let them know about any specials/new products
• Listen and take down recommendations
• Operate cash register
• Ring people out
• Process refunds
• Collect customer information for our database
• Pack and ship orders
• Inventory Control

Running the bulk room

• Ensure there is adequate stock for each bulk item in the morning and throughout the day
• Help customers with the refill process
• Make sure the bulk room stays clean and clutter free

Store Maintenance

• Maintain and orderly appearance throughout the sales floor
• Check the sales floor for items that have been moved
• Check for cleanliness on the floor, in the bathroom and bulk room
• Product displays
• Make sure products are accurately labeled
• Move around product to fill in holes when needed
• Perform the daily/weekly cleaning checklist

Closing the Store

• Perform closing cash procedures
• Perform closing duties
• Communicate any necessary information to the team

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
