Survey Crew Chief

At Bona Fide Surveying we are looking for a crew chief that will work alongside the owner/PLS of Bona Fide Surveying as well as work on their own. This candidate will need to work independently, be able to prepare data, download and upload data, as well as do some Civil 3D drafting. The work is anticipated to be mostly field work, but some office work will be necessary. Field work will be diverse, varying from small lot surveys to large construction route surveys.

• ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys
• Boundary Surveys
• Topographic Surveys
• Construction Layout
• UAV Surveys
• Civil 3D calculations
• Civil 3D drafting
• Research and search point preparation

Specific Requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 years of surveying experience
• Ability to organize field notes
• Ability to read Construction Plans
• Ability to execute field staking
• Ability to trouble shoot field and equipment challenges
• Ability to communicate with clients in a professional manner and understand their needs
• Strong math skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds
• Physically fit and able to walk on uneven terrains and able to deal with any and all field conditions
• Some overnight travel may be required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate from 4-year program in surveying/geomatics
• GIS knowledge
• LSIT
• Experience performing boundary research
• Trimble business center experience
• Civil 3D Experience
• Experience with Trimble GPS, Total Station and Data Collectors
• Line coding experience

Salary Range: $25 - $40 per hour (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant)
