POSITION PURPOSE:
We are looking for a careful forklift operator to move packages and material around our facilities. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Your job could involve driving around warehouses, storage spaces and other facilities. You must be a responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be in the right place to achieve maximum efficiency. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction. This position will work closely with the Receiving, Picking and Shipping departments to achieve division objectives while maintaining a focus on customer service and inventory accuracy. This individual contributes to a positive team atmosphere and applies safety guidelines in a fair and consistent manner.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DUTIES
QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma and/or equivalent work experience
- 1 years of experience working in a similar role: Forklift Operator, Warehouse Worker, etc.
- Experience warehousing finished goods and raw materials
- Experience in warehouse/distribution inventory accuracy
- Must have good attention to detail and time management skills
- Must demonstrate a “hands-on” problem solving approach.
- Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems is preferred – SAP experience is a plus
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
JOB DUTIES:
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, etc.).
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store, etc.).
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
- Transport materials to production areas.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
- Responsible for inventory accuracy and control within the distribution facility including stock rotation (FIFO).
- Inspect machinery and determine the need for repair.
- Bring ideas to management and be able to implement necessary process improvements.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Keep the warehouse clean and adhere to the 5’S Housekeeping Standards
- Comply with company policies and guidelines.
- Develop mutually beneficial, respectful, and effective relationships with peers to ensure seamless coordination between departments, maximize synergy, and maintain a shared vision, strategy, and focus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 25% of the time.
- Must be able to bend, climb stairs, and continuously stand or walk 75% of the time.
- Must be able to move within the office and plant to reach file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Must be able to use dexterity to handle small safety equipment and/or hazardous material.
- Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds and frequently move equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Must communicate effectively by listening and in both written and verbal forms.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Generally, works in a distribution center environment but is also required to perform job duties in a typical office setting.
- This position regularly requires large amounts of time to be spent using warehouse equipment, which entails regular and repetitive motions along with exposure to loud noises. All safety procedures should be adhered to in these situations.
- This position also requires some amount of time to be spent using computer equipment, which entails regular and repetitive motions.
- Will regularly be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, or chemicals. All safety procedures should be adhered to in each of these situations.
- Subject to working near moving parts of heavy machinery and high voltage equipment where use of appropriate safety equipment is required.
- Work includes indoor and outdoor environment during possible adverse weather conditions.
