Staff Pharmacist Needed in a hospital in Brooklyn
Full – Time temporary (37.5hrs) Monday-Friday / Alt. Weekends / Shift : 8am -4 : 30pm
This professional position involves the monitoring of patient therapy, distribution of patient medications, and compounding of various solutions and dosage forms.
The position requires a constant monitoring of daily
operations to assure a smooth flow of drug distribution, record keeping, quality assurance and rational drug therapy.
Essential Functions, Demonstrates ability to read, analyze and interpret pharmacy related journals.
Demonstrates the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid
conclusions. Demonstrates the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract variables.
- Demonstrates ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as dosage calculations.
- Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies ,or members of the hospital staff.
- Ability to assist management in specialized projects.
- Compounds, preserves and dispenses all medication orders as written by an authorized
practitioner on the staff.
