Teacher's Assistant Needed in Brooklyn
School Year hours
Must be at least a Level 1 Certified TA by the Board of Education to apply.
REQUIREMENTS :
- High school diploma or GED
- Level 1 Certified TA or higher
- 6 months experience as a TA is preferred
- Must be fingerprinted, or willing to be fingerprinted, by the Board of Education and the Department of Investigation. Costs to be paid by the candidate.
- Must be registered on the TEACH website
- Certified completion of Domestic Violence and Child Abuse courses
- Pre-employment Physical Exam (within one year), with documentation of :
- MMR proof of immunization
- TDAP
- Varicella
- 25 money order to cover background check. Money order to be paid by the candidate.
SUMMARY
Under general supervision of a Teacher, is responsible for assisting him / her in the conduct of classes and activities and provides personal care to the children.
