Bonded Filter Company (BFC Solutions) is the largest provider of HVAC maintenance in the United States! We have been in business for over 60 years, providing services in most major cities across the nation for retail and corporate customers. We are hiring immediately for a new Machine Operator position in our Nashville manufacturing warehouse located off of Rosa Parks near beautiful downtown Nashville!

This position will be responsible for operating the frame manufacturing line at our facility and includes the setup of automatic and semi-automatic processes within a specified time. The operator will utilize an automated wire forming machine that makes a one-dimensional frame, using wire from a coil that goes through a straightener and into a forming section to make a square or rectangular shape. A secondary process makes reinforcing cross members that are spot welded into place. All the machine functions are computer controlled. The operator must be able to work with little to no supervision and must meet predefined manufacturing rates. Previous manufacturing and machine operation experience is required.

Duties :

• Perform machine set-up and manufacture frames to pre-define specifications within allowable time between changeovers.
• Monitor automatic machine and understand all control functions.
• Inspect parts and confirm compliance to specifications.
• Have the ability to produce and exceed established production quality and conduct quality inspections.
• Measure for quality and tolerance.
• Complete Inspections sheets.
• Report daily production including unit production, machine up time and throughput vs plan.
• Generate, communicate and activate plans focused on improving productivity and delivering at target levels.
• Perform required adjustments to ensure batches maintain tolerances to specifications.
• Perform preventive minor and major maintenance to manufacturing line on a regular basis. This may include inputting data into the computerized manufacturing equipment.
• Establish and maintain a 5S work area.
• Work in a safe manner.
• Read specified measuring instruments (tape measure, micrometer, etc.)
• Is responsible for continuous improvement and training.
• Rework parts as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Participate in other projects in the manufacturing facility to aid all lines in continuous improvement.
• In addition to forming frames the idea candidate must have a basic understanding of automated spot-welding equipment and set-up.
• Operator will need to understand that if needed, they will be assigned other duties in the operation as determined by the plant management staff.
