Position Summary:
The Director of Operations (DO) will oversee and be responsible for maximizing operational efficiency across all company manufacturing locations. The DO will work closely with site and functional leaders to implement strategies that will result in effective processing and profitable manufacturing of company products. This role will also oversee companywide production scheduling to ensure optimized production output and schedule attainment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maximize production efficiency across all manufacturing locations.
- Develop and implement key production metrics to measure the success of operational performance.
- Continuously analyze metrics and financial data to determine opportunities for margin improvement, lead time reduction and increasing throughput.
- Plan, Organize and Direct day-to-day production operations for optimal output and profit maximization.
- Provide effective and timely communications to all levels of the organization regarding normal operation variances, issues, resolutions, and opportunities.
- Ensure a robust Preventative Maintenance Program to ensure minimal downtime on equipment, reduce defects and scrap rates and minimal impact on customer deliveries.
- Drive Performance and Accountability across all manufacturing locations.
- Lead and oversee the implementation of new product lines and equipment lines to support business growth objectives.
- Ensure work performed is compliant with customer specifications and any deficiencies are resolved in a timely manner.
Other duties may be assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
To adequately perform the responsibilities of this position, the individual should possess the following:
- 5 years’ experience in manufacturing. (multi-site oversight experience preferred)
- Prior experience in non-woven manufacturing is highly desired.
- Must have a strong technical background.
- Experience in production planning and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in margin analysis and analyzing data
- Must know safety, quality, productivity, and inventory control.
- Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills. * Excellent leadership skills with strong change management skills
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Travel required. (estimated 30-40%) to other manufacturing locations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
