Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ocean Import/Export Specialist to join our North America Branch. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide accurate and competitive quotations to clients, ensuring their shipping needs are met efficiently. Additionally, the position involves managing the entire logistics process from start to finish, coordinating with importers, truckers, and carriers to ensure timely delivery, and maintaining up-to-date customer records and databases.
This role is dynamic and offers significant growth potential. Successful candidates may have the opportunity to transition into the company's Management Trainee Program, which is designed to develop future business leaders in the logistics industry. The program provides accelerated career development through a structured blend of on-the-job training and real-life work experience. Furthermore, the position may involve future rotations across different roles, providing a comprehensive understanding of the company's operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage up-to-date customer records, reports, documentation, and databases.
- Coordinate shipments with importers, truckers, and carriers to ensure timely delivery.
- Proactively provide pricing alternatives, routing solutions, and technical support to clients, collaborating with both regional and global internal sales teams.
- Respond promptly to requests for proposals, quotations, or information, offering competitive pricing aligned with customer requirements.
- Obtain and create shipment quotes, sourcing the best transportation methods.
- Handle the full logistics process from start to finish (A-Z).
- Manage and process accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P) using the in-house system.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in freight forwarding or logistics is preferred.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality results and maintaining professional excellence.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese is required.
- Kind, honest, and responsible.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or international trade.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- In-depth knowledge of local and international carriers and shipping routes.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- An outgoing, proactive, and forward-thinking mindset.
- Proficiency in IT systems and the ability to work efficiently with various software platforms, such as Go Freight.
- Speak Mandarin is preferred
