Position Summary :
The Maintenance Team Lead directs and coordinates all maintenance activities and modifications on production line equipment in a manner to ensure the equipment can operate at maximum efficiency. The position is responsible for developing associates under her / his direct supervision in all aspects of the maintenance function. Position is also responsible for supporting and accomplishing goals and objectives using the “team” management approach by working closely with other departments, especially Production and Engineering.
By your key position in our company, you will support our environmental and social initiatives to drive progress against our corporate social responsibility and B Corp certification ambitions.
What you will Do :
- Identify training needs and ensures that training is scheduled to satisfy the identified needs
- Promotes and maintains positive relationships between intermediate levels of management and maintenance associates
- Participate in project management activities as required on Production line equipment.
- Meets daily to discuss and resolve problems relating to production equipment, discuss production line equipment, work order status, provide feedback on work status and backlog
- Meets as needed to order parts, clarify purchase requisitions, resolve maintenance budget reporting problems, forecast spending, coordinate equipment modifications, new installations, review proposals, quotes, bids, prices, discuss production line projects and system maintenance requirements
- Ensures that associates under his / her supervision follow all corporate safety procedures and comply with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) requirements. Also monitors outside service people and contractor activities to ensure compliance with all safety rules
- Assigns work to mechanics in her / his area of responsibility on all three shifts, evaluates their work quality and provides timely and meaningful feedback
- Reviews equipment manuals and develops preventive maintenance programs to ensure that equipment performance and reliability remains at high levels
- Ensures that proper sanitation is performed after maintenance has been performed on all production line equipment
