Position Summary:
We are seeking an exceptional and forward-thinking Food Scientist who is driven by creativity and outside-the-box ideas to join our Product Development team. This role is perfect for someone who is truly passionate about food, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and who is excited to explore unconventional approaches to food formulation, sustainability, and technology. You’ll have the opportunity to transform innovative concepts into tangible, market-ready chef crafted products, pushing the limits of what plant rich food can be.
What will you do:
Innovation & Product Development: Executes the creation of groundbreaking food products that push the envelope in taste, texture, nutrition, and sustainability. Identify emerging trends, technologies, and consumer needs to inspire novel ideas based on branded growth strategy. Studies physical, biological, and sensory attributes of competitive products and new products in development. Works independently and with an entrepreneurial mindset to develop white space products.
Creative Problem Solving: Apply an unconventional approach to challenges, finding innovative solutions for complex food science problems. Encourage brainstorming, rapid prototype development, and smart solutions.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, consumer insights procurement, regulatory, manufacturing and outside networks, to bring innovative ideas from concept to commercialization.
Ingredient Exploration: Experiment with unique ingredients, techniques, and technologies to create cutting-edge plant rich solutions. Source and test new, delicious ingredients that enhance both flavor and nutrition. Work alongside suppliers and 3rd party vendors to bring new ingredients and solutions to the portfolio.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all exploratory work, processes, and results. Present findings and prototypes to internal stakeholders and to customers, highlighting creative breakthroughs and product potential.
Sustainability & Nutrition: Innovate with sustainability and nutrition in mind, ensuring that new products not only stand out for their creativity but also have a positive environmental & social impact and are formulated to Bonduelle nutritional guidelines.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Marketing, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
5 years of experience in product development, innovation, or marketing within CPG, food & beverage, or manufacturing with experience in developing novel, high impact products preferred.
A visionary thinker who thrives on pushing boundaries and embracing risks.
Ability to translate complex scientific concepts into simple, consumer-friendly products.
Strong problem-solving and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives.
Passion for food innovation and sustainability.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
