Transactional and Litigation Associate Attorney

Overview
We seek an Associate Attorney with 2 or more years of experience to join our growing legal team for a position doing a mix of transactional and litigation work. The ideal candidate needs to have a strong basis in civil law, either in litigation or transaction matters, with experience in Commercial Transactions or Litigation or in Estate Planning and Succession preferred. This role is perfect for an attorney who desires to provide support to individual and small business clients and is eager to grow professionally within a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research
• Draft transactional and estate planning documents, including business agreements, contracts, wills and other related documents.
• Draft litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs.
• Attend court for hearings and motions and provide assistance to senior counsel during trial.
• Work directly with individual and business clients.
• Collaborate and support senior attorneys, contributing insights and strategies.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar and good standing.
• Ranked in top 50% of law school graduating class
• 2 or more years experience in civil law practice
• Excellent writing skills.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents.
• Compassion and care for clients and the desire to work with individuals.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Prior experience in relevant areas of law is preferred but not required.
