A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CENTRAL SERVICE TECHNICIAN
A Central Service Technician starts and ends their day with keeping our patients safe and decreasing the risk of a surgical infection. A Central Service Technician works cleaning, packaging and sterilizing instruments which protects our patients.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CENTRAL SERVICE TECHNICIAN
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of sterilization method and aseptic technique
Demonstrates knowledge of surgical products, instruments, and equipment
Possess excellent organizational skills
WORK SCHEDULE
The hours for a Central Service Technician can be variable, normally starting mid-morning and can range between 0800-1800. This is a .8 FTE (32 hours per week).
