What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Shift Machine Operator position at Bongards' Creameries?
Bongards Premium Cheese is looking for a dedicated, dynamic and experienced individual to perform as Machine Operators on our processed cheese lines.
Job duties:
- Operation of the loaf cheese filler.
- Insure weights of the boxes are correct and properly recorded.
- Monitor the quality of the boxes and pouches and communicate to the operators.
- Assure that pouches are properly sealed.
- Keep immediate work area neat and in order.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Must report all food safety and quality concerns to immediate supervisor or their designated replacement.
- All other duties as assigned by the supervisor or lead.
Other requirements:
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Must demonstrate a commitment to both employee and food safety.
- Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions.
Physical capabilities:
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Must be able to lift 5 lbs. frequently
