What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Shift Cook Operator position at Bongards' Creameries?
Bongards Premium Cheese is seeking a dedicated, dynamic and experienced individual to be our Cook Operator based out of our Humboldt facility.
Job Duties
- Responsible for the cooking of cheese for loaf and slice lines.
- Addition of ingredients as specified by the recipe.
- Monitoring of cheese cook temperature.
- Notification to cheese grinders as a blender becomes empty.
- Communication with filler operator and lab technician on cheese quality.
- Perform sanitation duties and warehouse pile over duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Must be able to pass forklift training and maintain license.
- All other duties as assigned by the supervisor or lead person.
Other requirements
- High school diploma or equivalents
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Must adhere to and follow all GMP’s, SOP’s, and Safety Guidelines when performing all work.
- Must report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or their designated replacement.
- Must demonstrate a commitment of both food and employee safety.
Physical capabilities
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to climb ladders occasionally.
Schedule
Night Shift 5:30pm-5:45am Mon-Fri
