What are the responsibilities and job description for the Breezeway Lead Cook position at Bonita Bay Club?

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A THE BREEZEWAY LEAD COOK:
As the Breezeway Lead Cook, you will assist the Chef de Cuisine in ensuring daily features are completed and communicated to FOH staff. You will be responsible for assuming a leadership role in the absence of the Chef de Cuisine. You will assist in ensuring all coolers and storage areas are clean and in order and be able to proficiently operate your designated station. Our Breezeway Lead Cook also assists in Managing and rotating product inventory, as well as researching and developing menu items and recipes in conjunction with Breezeway culinary staff. You will also be responsible for evaluating processes and procedures ensuring that efficiency, cost control, and safety standards are being met. The Breezeway Lead Cook will also be expected to work in conjunction with Culinary Team Managers to develop plans for desired production items.
JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 years culinary experience.
- ACF Certification preferred but not required (should be aspiring for certification)
- Serve Safe Manager Certification must be always maintained
- Must be able to create, evaluate, and execute standardized recipes and procedures with 100% accuracy
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
- Excellent inter-personnel skills required with a positive professional demeanor
- Must possess a sense of urgency and a desire to satisfy member's requests
- Must be motivated to get the job done no matter what obstacles appear
- Must be service-orientated with exacting attention to detail
- Must be punctual, reliable, and possess a high degree of integrity
- Must be computer capable, understanding the major computer programs, word, excel, outlook, etc.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
