A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR:
As the Communications Coordinator, you will support the Club's brand and communication strategy by helping craft clear, consistent messaging across all platforms. This role assists in creating, coordinating, and distributing internal and external communications, ensuring that all materials reflect the Club's values and standards, through social media and all platforms directed by the Director of Communications. You will assist in drafting, editing, and distributing member emails, newsletters, signage, and printed materials. You will also help maintain and update the Club's website, digital signage, blog, and other communication platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, or Business, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites - InDesign/Photoshop preferred - and Canva
- Familiarity with web platforms (Hootsuite) and social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Awareness of social media trends and emerging digital platforms
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
- Creative mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality content
- Strong sense of brand alignment and ability to represent Bonita Bay Club's voice and image
- Customer service-focused approach to all communications
- Ability to anticipate trends and adapt messaging accordingly
- Physically able to lift up to 20 lbs. for camera equipment and stand for extended periods during filming
- Must have a sense of humor-because creativity and collaboration are better with a smile
