What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at Bonnell Aluminum?
We are looking for an ambitious individual wanting to pursue a career path in the supply-chain industry. You will be responsible for overseeing and meeting due dates for goods and materials used within an aluminum extrusion company.
This role is an entry level role that will require a basic understanding of standard costing, negotiation, elements of a basic contract, payment terms, logistics, lead times, min / max inventory levels, international shipments, supplier / vendor selection, production schedule and supporting multiple value-streams with varying supply needs.
What You'll Be Responsible For :
- Procurement support within a manufacturing business, including but not limited to new and existing products.
- Issuing purchase orders and tracking orders
- Oversee and process purchase orders from issuance to payment of invoice, responsible to oversee and resolve invoice issues that relate to purchase order discrepancies such as pricing and quantity on an ongoing basis, monthly reconciliation required.
- The ability to forecast and plan for material requirements as demand fluctuates through our system is necessary.
- Familiarity with inventory turns, shipping, receiving, MRO and PPE, expediting and inventory turns.
- Knowledge of receiving goods, purchase orders, inventory, and stock placement, VMI, MRO, PPE
- Oversight of specific queries that relate to the Purchasing Department.
