What are the responsibilities and job description for the TSLOTS Master Planner Scheduler position at Bonnell?
The TSLOTS Master Planner/Scheduler is an essential part of the manufacturing team and ensures the flow of materials that are necessary for the TSLOTS business to be successful. The planner ensures the value streams never run out of necessary materials. They work both as part of a team and independently in a variety of settings.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
- Maintain a sufficient supply of raw materials to each value stream.
- Schedule the supply of lineal/components to meet production requirements and minimum safety stock levels.
- Assess Inventory levels based on market demand.
- Take follow-up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production and delivery.
- Support inventory checks.
- Enter Stock replacement Purchase Orders into EPICS.
- Manage relationships with outside Processors/Vendors.
- Coordinate with TSLOTS Regional Sales Managers to understand the forecast demand for Lineal and Components needs set by the market.
- Monitor raw material availability and expedite shortages with extrusion planners and vendors.
- Review the backlog, orders, and shipments to properly schedule material for each value stream.
Duties:
- Review, Report, and Update Capacity Levels.
- Approve or give all lead times for orders based on inventory/capacity.
- Maintain and control all stock lineal and component levels.
- Track shipments from vendors.
- Part Setup in EPICS.
- Vender Communication and Relationships.
- Quarterly stock level adjustments based on demand.
- EPICS Outside Processor tracking and cleanup.
- Manage TSLOTS Reserves with the CXS team.
- Locate material if it is misplaced in other departments.
- Communicate needs to Extrusion and Anodizing.
- Adjust/Approve for all Receiving discrepancies.
- Control component RMA’s.
- Stock Corrections.
- Assist with Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly Inventory reconciliations.
- Manage Overrun orders to ensure smooth flow.
What You'll Need to Have:
Experience Required:
- Two to five years of inventory management and/or materials management in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Three to five years of ERP (EPICS, Intranet, etc...) experience is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- APICS and Six Sigma certifications a plus.
Inventory Management:
- Understand inventory and stocking procedures to implement LEAN process and flow.
- Administer material request from TSLOTS to Extrusion, ANO, Outside Processors, and Vendors.
- Audit and adjust stocked inventories to uphold and support competitive lead times.
Departmental OTC
- Develop and manage the flow of materials between departments and vendors to ensure 98% OTC or greater.
- Develop key systematic measurable for internal OTD and report to the TSLOTS Manager.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, or Business or equivalent work experience and demonstrated skills.
