What are the responsibilities and job description for the Applications Specialist position at Bonner General Health?
The Application Specialist position is responsible for supporting the software applications within the organization and their usage. This position works directly with stakeholders to ensure applications are meeting the needs of the business and provides direct support to end-users.
- Work with departments and organizational leaders to identify software solutions
- Work with vendors to scope solutions for business needs
- Assists the IS Director with identifying and selecting software solutions
- Assists with the implementation and configuration of new software systems
- Provides application training to users
- Provides assistance to end-users in their use of applications
- Troubleshoots application issues; identifies and implements solutions
- Works with vendors and third-party teams to support applications
- Ensures applications are updated as needed and that security patches are applied
- Provisions user access to software systems
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance for scheduled shifts
Experience
Required- 3 year(s): Minimum three (3) years’ experience in an IT position, preference given to experience in healthcare or direct software support
Education
Preferred- Associates or better in Information Technology or related field
