What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technician/Cardiopulmonary (on the job training) position at Bonner General Health?
Shift: Days
The Cardiopulmonary Technician works under the direct supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Director and is responsible for performing echocardiogram (EKG) examinations, scheduling patients and maintaining the efficient flow of the daily operations of the department. The Cardiopulmonary Tech may assist during moderate sedations, inhalation therapy treatments, and cardiac monitor applications under the direction of a Respiratory Therapist (RT) or Registered Nurse (RN).
This department stays very busy working with both in and out patients. They are very team oriented and work well together.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Two years’ work experience in healthcare
License and/or Certifications:
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
- Current NRP certification (or obtained within six (6) months of hire)
- Current LPN, Medic or similar licensure required
- Hospital admissions and/or billing experience preferred
