The Counter Sales Representative position in Auburn, MA is responsible for providing excellent customer service by assisting customers with their purchases and orders, promoting products, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. You will have a solid understanding of providing product / job quotes as appropriate and demonstrating knowledge of products such as Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Heating, to meet customer needs.
Counter Sales Representative Details :
Start Date : ASAP
Pay Rate : $20 - $25 / HR DOE
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm and every other Saturday for 4 hours
Counter Sales Representative Responsibilities :
- Promptly assist customers at the counter, ask pertinent questions, provide information, take orders, and provide excellent customer service.
- Effectively promote products to customers to drive up-selling opportunities.
- Perform data entry and retrieval on our computer system, including entering customer orders, branch transfers, obtaining quotation information, inventory information, and pricing.
- Follow up on customer orders, resolve problems to the customer's satisfaction, and respond timely to customer inquiries.
- Answer telephones professionally and pleasantly, assisting customers, taking orders, and providing excellent customer service.
- Continuously update product knowledge through available resources and stay informed about product inventory and applicability.
- Effectively communicate relevant policies and / or procedures regarding purchases, returns, credit terms, etc. to customers.
- Assist in maintaining the appearance of the branch as needed, including straightening, cleaning the counter area, warehouse, bathrooms, etc.
- Report back orders and / or material discrepancies.
- Accurately perform cycle counts as required.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner, following all safety rules and informing the manager of any potentially hazardous conditions.
- Assist in year-end physical inventories as requested.
