Job Title : Dispatcher
Pay : $20 / Hr.
Hours : Monday to Friday, 7 : 30 AM to 4PM
Start Date : ASAP
We are seeking a Dispatcher for a Full-time, Temp-to-Hire position for our client, a company located in Portland, ME . The Dispatcher will assist in the distribution of inter-departmental orders and STATS, help vendors, customers, and other visitors by directing them to the correct departments, warehouse locations, and answering questions as appropriate. Success in this position looks like excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire role located in Portland, ME.
As a Dispatcher , you will be responsible for :
Directing all inbound phone calls
Coordinating and maintaining all courier needs (repair, scheduling of repairs, rental trucks, etc.)
Coordinating drivers to facilitate STAT as well as other delivery requests
Obtaining outside delivery services when needed
Maintaining service records for vehicles and scheduling maintenance
Maintaining filing systems for drivers' paperwork, including log sheets and P.O.D. paperwork
Maintaining paperwork for the receiving department
Processing orders into the computer system
Maintaining tracking of drivers' gas cards and receipts
Problem-solving delivery issues as needed and working with customers to assure delivery needs are met
The ideal candidate for this role will have :
High school diploma or GED (preferred)
Experience working in a customer service role
Basic computer skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Pleasant phone demeanor, not a call center mentality
Strong English skills
Ability to go with the flow in a casual, small-office environment
Data integrity and organizational skills
