Duties and Responsibilities for Material Handler :
- Functioning primarily a ground position, verifies parts vs. packing slip, or cribs small bundles and crates parts at the crib table
- Once BHS forklift certified, unloads vendor trucks, verifies receipts, and inspects material quality
- Distributes materials to proper locations as necessary
- Removes all dunnage and excess packaging from incoming material
- Examines contents and compares with records to verify accuracy of incoming shipment
- Builds custom wood shipping pallets and crates for small, finished goods
- Kits materials for distribution to the shop and other manufacturing facilities
- Kits small, finished goods to ship to customers
Delivers part kits to and from work areas
