Compensation :
Fairfield County Managed Service Provider is searching for a Senior Account Manager to help grow their portfolio. You will be responsible for managing the entire sales process from lead generation, qualification, presentation, contract negotiation, and deal closure. Additionally, you should have experience working for Managed Service / Managed Security, Cloud Hosting Providers,
or in a technology-specific sales role.
Key Responsibilities :
Achieve sales objectives primarily through sales to new customers and also through sales of additional services to existing customers.
Discover client business needs and propose appropriate product or service.
Manage territory, including account planning and opportunity management.
Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge about IT products and services.
Ensure assigned accounts meet or exceed client satisfaction through up-selling.
Properly forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue numbers for the assigned territory.
Successfully negotiate contracts.
Build and maintain trusting relationships with associates and customers.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and qualifying to generate your own business leads.
Proactively engage prospects via warm and cold calls, social media, networking, and referrals.
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
Conduct research on target markets and industries to stay up to date with market trends and opportunities.
Work closely with the sales team for support and assistance in closing deals.
Attend networking events to build relationships.
Additional Desired Skills :
Knowledge and strong working relationship with at least one of these strategic partners : Meraki / Cisco, VMware, Microsoft / 365 / Azure, Fortinet, or Palo Alto Networks or similar partner certification preferred.
Education and Required Experience :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
5 years of information technology sales required.
2 years of experience working within the technology infrastructure Value Added Reseller (VAR) space directly, or as a vendor partnering with the channel.
Experience with Cloud-based solutions selling.
