What are the responsibilities and job description for the Music Teacher position at Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy?
Charter One works with schools across the country to provide all-inclusive education management services. We handle the day-to-day work so that client school boards can focus on governance and policy issues to be sure that the vision and mission of the school are being carried out properly.
Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy is now accepting applications for Music Teachers for the 2025-2026 academic year. Candidates must possess a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance card.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design and prepare engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and address the learning needs of students at various proficiency levels.
- Teach a variety of music concepts, including music theory, history, and performance techniques, through individual and group instruction.
- Provide instruction on various musical instruments, including piano, guitar, drums, or orchestral instruments, depending on the focus of the program (if applicable).
- Conduct vocal lessons for choir or vocal classes, focusing on technique, breath control, and performance skills (if applicable).
- Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment that encourages student participation, creativity, and collaboration.
- Assess student progress through performance evaluations, tests, and informal assessments, providing constructive feedback to help students improve.
- Organize and lead rehearsals for school concerts, recitals, or musical productions, ensuring that students are well-prepared for performances.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to integrate music into interdisciplinary projects and enhance the overall school curriculum.
- Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding academic progress, upcoming performances, and any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Promote the music program within the school and community, encouraging student participation and engagement in music-related activities.
- Maintain an organized and well-equipped classroom, ensuring that instruments, materials, and resources are accessible and in good condition.
- Other duties as assigned.
