About the Role
Bonsby HVAC is looking for a motivated Parts Runner, who will quickly and safely pick up/return materials and equipment from/to vendors and bring parts to office locations or directly to the technician job site. The parts runner will keep in communication with the Dispatcher and Install Manager (his/her supervisor), informing them of his/her whereabouts. The parts runner may be assigned to other Departments based on needs, including the Residential Service Department or Commercial Department. The parts runner will also be used for ad hoc projects, like equipment scrapping, office cleanup, and fleet management. This is a full-time role that will report to the Install Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
● Pick up/return equipment from/to vendors; run/take materials and equipment from job sites
● Place replenishment materials in technician bins
● Process replaced equipment for scrap, returning money to Accounting Manager
● Assist with fleet management (oil changes, truck washing, other maintenance)
● Clean and organize the office locations
We’d Love To Hear From You If You Have
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Must consider safety one’s primary job and must have general knowledge of safe working practices and OSHA requirements
- To adequately perform the duties of this job the team member is regularly and routinely required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, use hands to handle controls, hear, and talk
- Must be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces
- The ability to regularly lift and/or move 50 lbs is required
- The work environment can vary depending on the season and scope of work – employees are required to work outdoors throughout the seasons
